The Waikato River was formed 17000 years ago and is the longest river in New Zealand. Its name means ‘flowing water’ in Te Reo Māori and the river has historically held a lot of spiritual meaning for the local tribes in the region.
We believe that the Waikato River holds the future of Hamilton, we need to turn towards the river, look after it and enjoy it. We are proud to be one of the few restaurants in the central city that showcase this beautiful natural resource.
